Backstories is Deborah's first solo show at Stephen McLaughlan Gallery in Melbourne. The exhibition comprises recent paintings and works on paper that develop and expand upon the "rear view portraits" closely associated with the artist's work for over two decades.

Deborah's second solo show for the year is also her first solo exhibition at Queenscliff Gallery. Comprising paintings, prints and drawings, the exhibition presents an even wider overview of the dominant theme in her work, namely the R�ckenfigur, or figure seen from behind.
